The Vets of My Zoo Animal Hospital

Dr. Debbie Leach, DVM

Dr. Debbie Leach, DVM:

Dr. Debbie opened My Zoo on the north side of Columbia in 2006.

A life-long animal lover (with dogs, cats, horses and livestock on her extended family's farm), she has wanted to be a veterinarian since childhood.

Her dreams materialized in 1998 when she got her degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine here in Columbia and in 2006 she opened My Zoo Animal Hospital.

Dr. Debbie's philosophy is that her vet clinic should be a happy, friendly and
pleasant place for pets and their owners. Prices are kept reasonable even though
she invests in the latest veterinary and medical technology.

Dr. Debbie was featured in the following article in the Columbia Business Times,

Dr. Rachel Nolan, DVM

Dr. Rachel Nolan, DVM:

Originally from St. Louis, Dr. Rachel moved to Columbia in 2011 and she completed a B.S. in Animal Science at the University of Missouri in 2014 with emphasis in beef and dairy cattle production. She graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018, realizing a lifelong dream.

At the beginning of her career, Dr. Rachel practiced at a mixed animal clinic in rural Missouri where she routinely saw companion animals, horses, goats, and beef cattle. During her time there, she developed a more keen interest in small animal medicine and surgery. Above all, Dr. Rachel values patient care and client communication, as these basic principles lay the groundwork for practicing excellent medicine and strengthening the human-animal bond.

Dr. Rachel lives on a small farm in Boonville with her significant other and their menagerie of pets that includes a quarter horse, three dogs, two cats, and two crested geckos.
